1000 triple 1977 (Netherlands, not mine)

Not mine, spotted this today at an annual bike show that I don't really visit annually and usually is 99% much more modern stuff.
According to the card it's a 1977, counter had 7800 or so kilometer on it, didn't speak to anyone about it to ask some questions about condition, maintenance history and so. Might as well be 107800. Forgot to check engine/frame numbers.

Asking price was nearly 8000 but I'm not an expert, but based on the weathered instruments, blooming instrument bracket and crusty rear tire I thought was optimistic, but what do I know, it might well be unique, rare, and full of original rare parts.

I'm not really into those triples, was wondering what if this a fairly complete and/or original bike that warrants the price, or if I'm just a cheapskate ;)1000-cyl.jpg

Yes, that's the one, same bike shop. The bike gave me mixed feelings, on one hand it looked pretty decent, but the weathered tank badges, instruments, old brake hoses, and tires gave the impression it's been standing for a while... and the service history...? (maybe the shop will fix those issues so it's ready to go, I don't know).
These open intakes always make me think "worn carbs and oil consumption". Probably me,though.

As it is, I've got enough to do as it is though, and I'd have to sell my R90S, which I'm sure everyone here will be happy about, but I'm not doing that...

Unfortunately, Laverdas don't get ridden much (there are exceptions) so its common to see shagged tires and signs of wear, but it looks cosmetically decent (odd green repaint) and priced well, but the real question is what lurks inside the motor-

I like the color too. It's about the same color as mine.

Yours is factory by the look of it. Didn't know they did this shade without the black pinstriping. Still shows those sculpted lines well.

It's not factory green. I had it painted this color about 10/12 years ago. It was originally red with the black pinstriping then painted black. The photo makes it look darker green than it is.
