10mm oil pump SF

I have recently fitted two of these on a mate's and my own bikes, and both needed the same adjustment. No idea who supplies them, mine has been on the shelf for ages. Firstly the body is too big to fit onto the crank case, the upper left corner is too thick and needs metal removed to be able to fit the screws, and get the drive shaft to align with the crank case. Then the drive shaft hole needed relieving on the forward section to prevent the shaft from binding when the screws were tightened. Takes some time with my high tech file and emery.

I'd experienced a similar issue with the new oil pump for my 3c. Not identical with what you described, but the new pump housing was 2mm wider vs the old one and req'd some trimming before I could fit it:

Maybe its better to close the Hole
at the right upper site.
You mean the one to put oil onto the primary chain? No need, it is there on the original small pump and with the extra capacity it will definitely not be a problem. The bike had no issues with the 6mm pump at all, but I decided to finally get this pump off my shelf and into the bike while the motor was apart. I don't know why someone would go to the trouble of fabricating this pump when the housing needs modification, maybe earlier motors had thinner crankcase castings, my experience here is with and SF3 and SF2.
