well at least 10/100 times more expensive one can afford better deliver :D

I phoned Slaters to order my parts recently and received them in France a few days later. The postage was a fraction of the minimum ?30 euros quoted on the Paradies website and the parts were cheaper. Richard Slater is a great bloke to deal with but I believe Paradies are an excellent source as well although they are too expensive for me.

really? christ, Andy must have hiked his prices an awfully long way since last time I compared them with the last one available

The first time I saw Andy's catalogue I was amazed that you could buy cheaper from Germany, including the international postage, than from any of the UK suppliers of the time.

I m always amazed you can buy cheaper from Canada, most of the time.

When the starter sprag granaded on my RGS, Slaters were the cheapest for all the parts, and I mean all the parts, it was broken into a dozen bits or more. And less than 48hours delivery

A lot of it comes down to how lazy i am. Paradies have a complete on line catalogue, price list and order facility which means i can just order everything i want in the evening with a beer in hand :). As i said one guy i gave a list of parts i needed to in the UK didn't even bother to reply. I'm not knocking the British suppliers, as i say i just take the easy route :)

so much for people power.......I think we need an Laverda Aldi, and send the rest to Wateraid,

Dont be lazy...phone Slaters, maybe the older guys dont use the internet to their advantage but he will quote you the part numbers off the top of his head.

triangle bits with tubes posted yesterday, would be on an Air Malaysian flight right now heading your way
hope they make it

Drop me a line with the damage or have a look at my sight if there is anything you need ?

Cant see anything wrong with that but then my eye site is not good :)...

I expect others have done it but i never had a mudguard re polished before, i have too many Ducati ones anyway but i needed a rear one for the jota so i could dump the plastic thing on the 120. Only one i could find looked like it had been wire brushed ( but then it was free) anyway ?20 later

Only bit i cant find so far for this conversion is the two little indicator stems to mount CEV's to the grab rail, cant find a picture either but i'm guessing they are just a drilled out stainless bolt ?

Carbs off now ( there's not much left of the poor old Jota)  forks off as well today.
I bought a set of Works duel rate springs for the front. They were not expensive so nothing lost and worth a try. the carbs seem to have had an attack of "green", nothing a strip and boil up in the ultrasonic cleaner will not handle, treat them to a new gasket and seal set while i am at it.

It was standing in the showroom for a year so it was amazing it ran at all on that petrol

No, it's a shouldered stud...typical Laverda engineered solution with rubber mounting too! Poor quality extract from parts book may help

Cheers Rob, I'm thinking a M10 hex head drilled through 5mm then a shouldered nut as they use on the stems and the indicator. I cant really see the need to rubber mount, if i did it the later way and  put stems on the rear light bracket it would be solid mount. I might do that anyway but then you are left with a grab rail with redundant brackets.
