120 Jota help needed

I am rebuilding a 120 Jota and was wondering if anyone in the NE29 area of North East England would be willing to give any advice. Failing that any one willing to send photos of their bike as the 120 was stripped down in 1983 and I am now trying to figure what goes where. Stephen

There are parts books out there, I got a genuine one for my series 1 1200TS Mirage after putting up a wanted and on this forum...not cheap but the best and look out for a reasonably priced Green book as prices vary enormously, also try and get a genuine workshop manual...avoid reprints like the plague, the ones on eBay from a very well known parts supplier in the south of England are the pits , very poor print quality

Hi Stephen,

Good luck with the rebuild, you might be able to get more detailed help if you describe what areas you are having trouble with and in a way breaking it up into smaller chunks to gain advice. There is a wealth of information within this site, use the search function to aid research and don't be afraid to ask away.

Hi Thanks Steve
The Jota was bought new in 1982 by my mate.
It has only done just over 1000 miles bought from Jack lilly's . A special frame was made for it as it was a too tall but never got put together.
I am putting back together as standard. I am trying to sus out the engine mounts as the originals were used on the special frame.
I have tried to contact Keith Nairn but as yet had no reply
Any advice is appreciated.

Ian Shearer may be able to give you advice. He's well north of you but he has a 120 and knows them well. I know he uses this forum now and again but you will usually find him on the ILOC site. Might be an idea to join.

Hi Stephen,
I have a 120 Jota Sprint. Partially stripped but all the parts are here and I know the bikes quite well. Happy to help, I’m in the North East DH3 postcode.
