Looks like I'm getting close to replacing the Bridgestone Spitfires (th' wha'?) on the RGS.  At the moment it has a 130 on the back, but I presume it should be a 120.  Should I go with the thinner tyre?  I'm planning to use Dunlop Arrowmax GT501s and find the handling on the 130s excellent.

Yeah, mine didn't like the 130 either- it's just that the RGS seems happy on the 130.

I'm pretty sure the tyres on the Corsa, when I bought it, were original. The rear was a 130/80.

It depends on rim width and what tire you use on the front as well as tire shape. All needs to match together...

130 on a 3,5" rim is better than on a 2,75 or even 2,5, which only 120 should be used as a max.

have mounted a 130 on the 3,5 rim of the 1000 SFC Classic, works good. 130 on the original rim of the jota did not work well...

Have to get my finger out and round up the rest of the bits I need for my GSXR wheels I suppose, in the mean time I guess it's a 120 rear for now.

120/90 or 120/80?

I have Avon 120/80 on my RGS, seems to work well. Much, much nicer that the BT45.
