1200 Custom

It seems that many 1200 models have gas tanks that don't fit plumb, this example included. The bike looks cobbly as a result, IMO.

... this 1200 is frame number 3070. I don?t know why they declare it as one of the very first 1200???

All it?s missing is a four valve head at that price..

no - also according pistons, nikasil-liners, re-worked crank and upgraded suspension and frame... ::)

:D

I sell mine at that price, even with an upgrade second engine with 0 Kilometers on it. Anyone?

Team Metisse quite obviously hasn't a clue about Laverda production numbers, and for roughly 30 grand, are not able to properly fit a twistgrip rubber.  Hopeless OE sidestand, most probably useless rear brake, etc, etc.  Oh dear, what a waste of effort, time and money...

But I'm guessing the bling factor works for many. ::)

Not sure I'd feature that slotted front caliper fixing, in the photo gallery, either.

I quite like it in many respects ...... but I agree that the poorly fitted tank and the lack of rear fender while still having fender mounts sticking out does make it seem a bit unfinished.

Not having rearsets but having the lowered bars wouldn't work for me ....... either a superbike bar or rearsets would be ncessary for me to feel comfortable.

If you look to their videos they present it as an outstanding new and powerful Laverda without knowing what the Laverda Comunity already had developed in the last decades.
Team Metisse is a professional dealer for spare and tunning parts. Maybe they also support race bikes and their man market are modern and classic superbikes.
With the Laverda they wanted to demonstrate their capability for Laverdas. Many of us could do it better maybe with less ?blink factors?. Love the fork, I tink its a Paioli, Superbike quick release type and expensive.

Ad says "better chassis". Looks like a bog standard Laverda frame to me.
Black engine looks good and the orange piping on the seat is a nice touch.
Looks like the back end of the tank is jacked up a bit, perhaps to clear those silly bellmouths.
