Have considered this is the battery, although its less than 12 months old. Considering the hammering it got when the old dells were on / fouling plugs im guessing its on its way already. I put an old fully charged Deka on this morning and it spun it up ok. Just didnt have the longivity to keep it spinning till it started.

So close.

So Ed bought a Laverda out of Pommeyland,spent a couple of months banging his head against your typical old and mostly fucked bike.Saw the light and availed the services of Steve B who found a shit load of way more drama.Steve did his typical first rate work.Don't know why but Ed picked up the bike from Steve after not a huge lot of your typical after major work fettling got done,borrowed my trailer to go get it.This bike has had a shed load of work done to it and poor of Ed is still having issues.Will spent way more than sensible amount of hours trying to sort the plug fouling,using Chrispins gas analyser,it needed some really oddball jetting.They finally came to the conclusion that the Del's were to far gone.So on with Reds carb set.Don't know when the starter was added but to my mind Eds tail reminds me of my more than painful time wading through the Laverda experience with way to few good rides as yet for him.Don't know where the Laverda world finds there single minded stubborn blokes,a hell of  a lot of blokes would give up at some point.Anyway thats my view from my perspective,the good riding bit must bee happening soon.As thats the whole point of this,isn't it.
 
It has been a long journey Vince. It really has. Hindsight is a wonderfull thing, should of replaced the carbs from the word go. I was warned. Will did a great job on tuning the old dells but they came with a caveat of swapping them out at some stage. Came into some money this month so decided to swap out to the Miks.

Looking forward to getting them going.

Have learned alot along the way.

She'll be right.
