Lovely 1200T, previous owner was renowned  Laverda specialist Ged Shorten of GCS Motorcycle Services who owned this bike for 10 years and gradually restored it to this condition. I think the bike is best described in GED?s own words: ?probably the best triple they ever made. Low compression, soft cams (a11) and pulled like a train but if you gave it large it went like f??k !?
I bought it two years ago hoping to re-acquaint myself with Laverdas having always regretted selling my SF2 30 years ago. Unfortunately my Rheumatoid Arthritis is now taking over and I?m finding it very difficult to ride it now.
I would be interested in a p/ex with something lower and lighter, maybe an Aerone/Falcone (not Nuovo) or sell for ?9000.

I understand your comment about not being sure how much longer you can ride it...I am waiting a few weeks for the effect of steroid injections to wear off before having shoulder surgery . I couldn't trust myself riding now - hopefully the surgery and rehab will be successful. Smaller and lighter bikes should certainly be easier to manage.
 
Lovely bike, I miss mine, sold it a few years back and then it got totalled by the new owner  :(

Mine had slightly higher comp pistons, otherwise standard, lovely and torquey with plenty of top end, preferred that motor to my Jota to be honest.

Only slightly negative comment I'd make on this one (imho) is the tank stripes seem a bit far forward? I obtained a NOS tank off Wolfgang for mine (last one he had, about, ooh, 10 years ago) that came with the stripes already applied, and you can see the difference? I'm sure Laverda stuck them all over the place though! :D

A11s are softer than 4C, 7C or F1.
Only the A12 that France and Switzerland got were softer.
 
Bike now SOLD.    Thanks for the interest and kind words, The bike sold immediately to the first viewer who is very pleased with it. I felt almost unwell seeing it disappear down the drive  Now, where to find an equally lovely SF2 ......

Think positive ..had surgery on both knees years ago been great ever since..had both shoulders done ..one of them twice because I was stupid...the trick I think is to be strict with the rehab regime...also I think the fitter/ stronger you are before the surgery might have a bearing on how well you recover...had the shoulders in my early fifties ..now a little older but  still doing well.
I do however have an RD 350 LC in the shed for later.. 
 
Where to find an equally lovely SF2? There's one on fb in one of the Laverda sites (Grant?s or Mal?s) atm, but would that be any better with your arthritis than the triple?

Absolutely. I had a discectomy and hemi-laminectomy in 2000 and asked one of the surgeons I consulted before surgery what the best preparation was . He said to be as strong and as fit as possible before the surgery.....and to work the rehab to the letter. What is frustrating is having to wait the requisite time after the 2 failed steroid injections to lower the risk of infection.
