180 advance stuck?

Hi Guys

Is it possible for a series 1 180 HTZ ignition advance to be stuck in full advance? it appears that way on strobing but doesn't makes sense.

Most common failure of these box o' tricks. It's internal and cannot be fixed. Both CDI and the later battery transistor systems are afflicted, the CDI more so. Maybe Herr Boschs' early attempt at premature obsoleteness?

Junk it and fit a modern system to transform the bike.

Good to here that, thought it might be me, the bike wasn't running when I got it and now it won't tick over and back fire, the ignition was only thing I hadn't checked.

Better call Kieth and get a one of Red systems then!

Haha tempting as I'm running a 63 t120 still on its original 6v system points and capacitors included and it runs better than this jota does
