Looking for the clip and countersunk screw for rim to shell attachment.

Bike has been dismantled for 30 years, now very close to finished.....

An '81 Jota (#8061), fairing was trashed and therefore discarded- maybe fairing had a different attachment for lamp(?).

Can buy a replica rim that comes with clip and countersunk screw, I fear oriental.

Can make something work, but prefer correct part(s).

Anyone?



 
The clip was never available on its own, always a part of the rim.  The screw was captive on the screwed variant, how did you lose it?

Can't know the reason it is missing.

Maybe faired bike didn't have it??- there are no witness marks indicating its presence....

Possibly with the LHS battery strap bracket.....!

You could try motorworks, the BMW people.

They do list the clip as a separate part but normally a used piece.

When Wolfang says "part becoming rare" means = he has them, but don't bother asking somebody else because he wont  :LOL: :LOL: :LOL:
 
If Wolfgang comes through for you, please let me know.  I needed one and have done a "Heath Robinson" job, but would like the real part if poss.

I tried Motorworks but the clip that arrived didn't seem to suit.
