Let's get specific. Whats a lowboy frame and why would it take Cagiva to modify it and why would they. What's the shortened swingarm about. Why would Cagiva be involved in prototyping SFC Laverdas, does bigfoot exist and where are the Aliens?
Quote
FRAME: While the frame numbers (LAV.750 F4946 DGM.5934.OM: Lower Frame Stamping) indicate a Laverda 1971 750cc SF, it has been modified by Cagiva to SFC (LAV/SFC 71/28: Headstock Stamping) specifications prior to its racing and crash at Hockenheim.
This has given rise to the possibility that it was an SFC prototype development.
Since in NZ, the frame has been repaired as per 1974 SFC specifications. (See Design diagram Picture).
The swing arm has also been reduced in length by 60mm as per this later spec.
