1972 Laverda 750 SF

1972 Laverda 750 SF.
Located on Bainbridge Island, WA 98110

Acquired in Milan Italy @ RM Sotheby's Duemille Route auction in 2016.

This is an Italian market build, not a British nor American export model. Metric gauges working great. Video shows very cold start (literally over a month), instant vroom. Ready to ride.

Cleaned and inspected Dellortos in December and changed oil. Brakes good. Everything works, no leaks. Fantastic bike, a reliable classic. Borrani wire wheels. It's a very original survivor.

More photos available on request.

Correct model is SF1. Lovely original bike, one of the ones that often have the old "I used to have one, wish I hadn't sold it", so you must have a good reason.

Nothing to do with beautiful Bainbridge Island and the location of the bike. This year above all others
in my memory (and having off beat bikes for sale at present ) demonstrates a very noticeable effect on
people that are keeping their hands firmly clasped to their wallets ensuring not one dollar escapes on a
discretionary purchase. Whether it is the Tariff things or economic recession naysayers or just the cost of
living there is a noticeable lack of sales on many consumer items. If you think it is location think of how many
people live in the Seattle/Tacoma and Portland area near by. Now add in Vancouver,BC and Western Canada
you have a lot of potential buyers who in a different time period would show some interest in your 750. Maybe
you need to add my favorite English phrase used in their classifieds..."First to see will buy " Of course if the Isle
of Vashon is still being held nothing beats showing it off there for the locals. Best of luck.

Thanks for the feedback. I had a feeling folks were being cautious, but for the collector crowd I thought it's pocket change.
Didn't know about the Vashon TT, seems the date is a members only secret!

One crucial fact...many enthusiasts are aging out or dying off. Witness the big Vegas auctions over the last three
or four years. From a collection or two there are now ten, twelve large collections from estates and old collectors
attempting to cash out and reduce the stress on their families upon their passing. The Isle of Vashon has always
tried to keep their date a not too well kept secret to not attract the squids and cafeteria racer crowd with their new
Ducati's....oh,and the Biker Lifestyle newbies. Usually they held it late August and into sometime in late September.
Try the VME guys in WA or just put out feelers with vintage enthusiasts...someone will provide the date. The event
was always a treat filled with rare, oddball, collector and enthusiasts bikes . Go at any cost. Great days.
