I have a very nice 1972 Laverda 750 SF1 that I have decided to sell. I want to notify the community on Laverda Forum first as I think it is such a great resource for Laverda owners and would like it to go to a member. It has a super running motor and very nice appearance - paint and chrome and frame. I had the Borrani rims re-spoked by Buchanan's - with new stainless steel spokes and nipples and new Dunlop Roadmaster TT100’s. Newer battery. Fresh oil change. Message me if you think you might be interested - noting it is in Northern California - East Bay. I would like $12K for it. Until I do sell it I intend to enjoy it and ride it locally.

Lovely looking bike - big job to fashion those knee indents in the tank! Your bike is - I think - an SF0, not an SF1 (SF1 had 36mm carbs, big valve head and the later 2 leading shoe drum brakes). You could probably just call it a 1972 SF, as i think the SF0 was a moniker coined to distinguish them from older and later SFs.

Very interesting! I never heard of SF0. :) When I got it - it was titled as 1972 and I thought the Nippon Denso and SF breaks were the indicators of 750 SF1. It does indeed have the Dellorto VHB 30's. As for the tank. Thank you for noticing it. It is the most beautiful tank I have seen on an SF. After seeing it - the stock ones do not quite mesmerize me as much as the sculpted deep pool of orange this one exudes. Every time I go into the garage I just stare at it. OK... then want to fire it up.

I think that's why the 'zero' was invented ... there were SFs before it that were different again (Smiths instruments, Bosch headlight with ignition etc). Not sure the factory ever called in an SFO. The other dead giveaway is the older type headers, with the joining pipe up near the motor (and no crossover box behind the gearbox).

Hope you find a buyer worthy of it. The tank really is a beautiful piece of work - I hope rivet counters aren't shied away by it!

Initially, the factory called it the new model S and they stamped many engines ‘SN’.
The factory never used the SF0 name, but if one would call a model SF0 (in similar style as Honda’s CB750 K0), then that would be the 1971 model, so with the old type tank and Smiths clocks. I like to refer to the 1972 model with ND clocks and new tank/seat combi as SF72, just like the factory used to do now and then.

Thank you! I will make a point of getting out and riding it in the cooler AM hours over the holiday. As for the Air Pod filters I went out to look and don't see clear markings on mfg. I will need to take one off. If I remember correctly they are European (not K&N). I do have similar K&N on Duc 900SS Blk/Gold that look good too but these have a nice vintage look.
