1973 SF1 #13508, UK registered and 90% through a restoration to a good standard. Engine has been gone through by Laverda Scozia in 2023 and anything needing done was done. Chassis powder coated inc. addition of Keith’s rearset mounting bosses. Bodywork done in the Kia shade noted on Laverdamania as being closest to the original greeny gold. There’s been a bit of extra polishing done several owners ago to the front end and brakes to a good standard. FAC shocks, Akront rims, recent Avon roadriders. Leather covered seat which has been done well many moons ago. Photos were taken today and tell the story pretty well, dust and all. Jobs to do are basically top coating of ancillary bits that aren’t yet fitted - brackets, dynamo, headlamp etc. Clock surrounds need fettling but instruments are good, wiring was functioning fine but the looms seen a bit too much action in my opinion and would benefit from proper sorting, and of course final reassembly. I rode this bike for a few years and it’s a nice one. £5000.

1974 3C #2308, imported to UK 2019 by two gents well respected on these pages, yet to be registered in UK. I have couriers consignment note bringing bike to UK, my purchase receipt and a copy of the bikes original Italian registration title. It’s totally original with good patina and no signs of bodging or accident damage and in my opinion is a great candidate for a gentle cosmetic refurb rather than restoration. Has some interesting features such as factory 3-1 exhaust, duplex rear chain and period rearsets (makers name escapes me…). Doesn’t seem to have been used for a very long time so needs everything gone over. It came with a new seat and I have bought all the Brembo parts to overhaul the front brakes. It has the wrong shocks fitted but otherwise seems as it should be. The motor is currently in the queue at Laverda Scozia awaiting it’s turn so I would need to square things off with Keith prior to any sale but I don’t anticipate any issues. £6000.

I’d rather not sell these but we’re moving house sooner than planned so I need to downsize by at least two machines and these pair are the most vulnerable at present so I’m offering them to the collective before putting them on the open market. Bikes are in Montrose, Scotland. Any questions or more pics required just drop me a message ta.
Cheers
Bruce

Apologies folks, I can’t speak French so I can’t tell if there are any questions there for me to answer. If there are, would someone kindly translate into English to help me out?
cheers
Bruce
Sorry Bruce.
Basically, on the Laverdamania register, the bike figures as a 75 in the USA.
Sfc28 has 2203 and it's from 75.
We were just saying that the Laverdamania register certainly isn't a bible and the has errors.
Paul

Thanks for clarifying Paul, I was concerned I was perhaps failing to answer a query. The original title has 74 marked in three places hence me noting it as a ‘74 bike and it is #2308. Anything I write here is in the best of faith and I’m happy to be corrected if Need be.

I just have seen duplex final drive in France in the 80th also with polyamid sprockets but never at other places.
Look at the Laverda triple endurance racers, the Benelli 6 endurance machines. I wonder if some Honda endurance racers didn't use them? The nylon sprocket was made by JPX, Offenstadts company.
Paul

I’m confused ….. are the rear sprockets two with a spacer in between, if so how does it work up the front? Surely it’d need a special sprocket, similar to an offset sprocket?

Hi.
The price is super fair, about the Duplex chain, same as: Laverda Spaceframe

Wonder what happens at the mouth of the crankcase where a standard 530 chain chews its way to clearance? Those early engines ha quite narrow chain openings and putting a duplex through there would require some relieving of cast metal😥. Anyway it obviously fits but it would be good to see how much metal is removed to gain clearance.
