1974 3C project for sale - now sold

Speaking of the Minister for Finance.... new addition to the household stable ... and it's not mine ... so it must belong to? She reminded me on Monday that she was serious about getting back into motos, so this is what we found - didn't seem keen on my SF in pieces coming back together :cry: If Emily loses interest I'll stick the donk in a Zane! :ROFLMAO:

One lady owner was probably shorter even than me. SuspensionsRUs did the 'low suspension' job on it (recommended practitioner by BMW) - so it comes with a very nice Wilbers fully adjustable remote reservoir shock and forks dropped through the clamps. Plus the factory lower seat; std seat also supplied. BM panniers, Givi top box, BM nav sat.

Emily is taller than me so could easily cope with it back to 'std' height. I found it very easy as is, but could cope with it higher if she wants to go down that route. On the road it didn't feel like too 'squat' so until she's put some k's in on it there's no need to change it. Very nice bike to ride - the motor is a gem, but I think the 60-40 dirt-road tyres will have to go. I don't think Em's up to the full outback adventure just yet!

A mate and I are looking at a couple of BMW450’s to do the TET.

Probably not much - especially if BMW are putting their name on it. Plenty of stuff coming out of India (Royal Enfield and others) and Chinois - including stuff manufactured for big Euro names like BM - I'm sure there's quite a list of them these days.

TET looks like fun on a moto! ... and BACK!?
 
It's very interesting to trace 'departure points' within threads. They often aren't really hijacks per se ... like this one, went awry with talk of 'how many bikes we're allowed have'! And then ...

It was, but it didn’t sell so it’s open slather now. Q, is right though….. how many is too many? And Mrs Marty has a point re: one arse, but I’ve got six dining room table seats and i make a point of not sitting in the same one all the time. I pointed that out to
Mrs K…. The 🙄 was like a thousand words.
 
My wife actually encourages me to occasionally buy something for myself -guess I'm just happy with what I have, not what I desire. It's why she doesn't allow me to sell the BMW (knowing I'll regret that probably) and was encouraging and supportive when I got the 750 to keep it in the family, knowing it'd take time and money to get it mechanically sound and safe. :) I've head lots of horror stories of wives and bikes, glad she's like this! (and sorry for the OP, it looks like a great project, but not for me...)
