1974 3C

I need some cash so I'm having to sell some bikes and my 3C is up for grabs. Big headlamp pre-oil cooler 38mm forks. Bike is in the UK
Rewired by Grant
Redax/Sachs Alternator and ignition
Rebored and top end rebuilt plus new duplex primary chain, cam chain, drive chain, uprated oil pump, later cam bearings, barrels and head changed to later type with bigger gasket face, all done by Ged at GCS.
Brakes rebuilt
New steering head bearings and fork seals.
There's probably loads more that I have forgotten.
Paint is good
Starts immediately on the button and goes like stink.
It will need new tyres because they are old and things like the alloy polishing properly etc but it's a usable bike.
The engine is mechanically very quiet except for clutch rattle at tickover and it wouldn't take much to fix that.
Any interest pm me, I've spent £10,000+ on it, looking for £8750.

Well I have other Laverdas Shaun but I would rather keep it! Unfortunately the others aren't fit for sale. It would have been a great ride to Breganze on that bike.

Apart from the fact that it is never nice to have to part with something you put your soul in to make it happen, I'm especially surprised by the sales price which I find is well below value. A pre-oilcooler 3C with discbrakes is definitely on top of the list styling-wise and re driveability. Isn't someone here on the forum interested in the Laverdas you seem to have as well and which are not fit for sale?

I based the price on the one achieved by the last 3C like that to be sold on ebay. There are still jobs to do, but the major things are done. You know what it's like, if it isn't polished to death a lot of people will turn their noses up at it but we all know the expensive dangers of a cosmetic restoration here, don't we.

I see a km tacho, was it once registered outside the UK? Ex EU registration f.e. could attract potential buyers

I bought it from Boba, originally it was registered in Italy and then Serbia but I don't have those documents now because they take them off you when you apply for a UK registration.

Well it's gone and to cheer myself up I dragged out the half finished 3CL I'm building out of left over parts. It looks good On with the show and all that.
