That’s a great looking bike! I guess it was supposed to help with cooling, as wellBlack engines were fashionable at some point..
Bought one of my SFCs looking like this.

That’s a beauty! What’s the mileage? Any issues with bike through the years? Anything to lookout for?I had a feeling it was, a buddy of mine has #1597 here’s a pic of mine
mine is a really low mileage bike, I got it with 1800 miles it now has 4300, yours at 6200 is also low, they really are not even run in yet, really no issues with mine, I see you have no airbox, I found mine ran best with the airbox and stock jetting, the one mod I would recommend is a Redax Ignatec ignition, well worth it.That’s a beauty! Your bike was practically new! Yes. Airbox was gone when I bought it. Not sure I could even find another airbox. We will try without. Thanks for the suggestion on the Redax ignition. I think that would be a wise investment too. Did your bike come with those handlebars? Mine had the Tommasselli handlebars.mine is a really low mileage bike, I got it with 1800 miles it now has 4300, yours at 6200 is also low, they really are not even run in yet, really no issues with mine, I see you have no airbox, I found mine ran best with the airbox and stock jetting, the one mod I would recommend is a Redax Ignatec ignition, well worth it.
Okay thanks! I’ll take a good look at this. Also, where did you purchase the Redax setup?no mine came with the multi adjustable bars that they all came with, I put a superbike bend handle bar on it , it makes the bike very easy to ride in comfort, the one thing you should look at is the starter clutch, it most likely need new springs and a cleaning

Someone will surely correct me if I am wrong but I find it hard to believe the photographs are from an original 1973 sales brochure. Jota pipes, and wrong tires I thought all 73 triples came with TT100s, and the fuel line looks like nothing that came out of the factory. This a beautiful example of a classic triple.See here
