This guy in San Diego has posted to Reddit about a disassembled 1975 750 which he asks if it's worth 'trying to sell or just take to land fill'. He doesn't currently have access to the forum here, waiting for approval apparently. I just wanted to mention it, in case anyone's in his area and wants a bit of a project/needs parts.
1975 750 in bits

My question would be if you need the parts that look like they could be used; Seats, Tank, side cover aren't they readily available? What are the "rare" parts on a SF?

All outstanding registration requests have been processed as of now
Thanks. I'm the person with the Laverda in SD.

I'm probably going to be scheduling a dump pickup for everything in a month or so. If anyone is interested in parts feel free to reach out and we can work something out.

SF2 - definitely some good stuff there - probably too much to bring back to life unless money isn't an issue, but clearly not something that should go to the tip!! If you lived in Melbourne I would already be in the car and heading over with a trailer!!

Okay I was able to find the wheels, fenders and what I think is a rear swing arm sorta thing. All the pictures I have are here.

almost equal condition (well - kind of...). Anything can be restored, it is just a matter of time and money.

The goods you have though are REALY in bad condition and some might be beyond repair, can be replaced though. This is something for the experienced person with deep pockets that is willing to enjoy the bike afterwards. No money can be made on restoring it.

The cost of the (complete) bike I bought including full engine rework with gearbox and crank bearings new, partly new electrics, paint, new rims etc. was - without calculating my personal labor - around 6.500€ plus new instruments => 7.000€. That was 18 Years ago. Prices have gone up for such work massively, expect to spend more likely around 9.000 - 10.000€ now. Then you have a bike that is worth 8.000 - 9.000 € - if lucky.

Always amazes me just how badly some bikes have been 'stored'. It doesn't take long for nasty things to happen in open motors and to unprotected metal.

78Jotadave:If the message was intended for me re: fenders your dumb recipient somehow doesn't know how to receive your note.
I in fact found the symbol you mentioned but I think that was mis-handled by me. Will you send again and I will be very careful to
follow instructions to read. In my defense I don't use a cell phone and we will leave it at that....

If you think that's hard, try Facedick nonmessanger. That's just so stupidly complicated. I once apparently had a nonmessage not received for more than a year.

That bike is beyond restoration. sure it can be done at a massive cost but why when there are many 750s waiting new owners for a fraction of the cost.
Lots of recoverable parts though.
