1975 Blue Laverda 3C

I would be very grateful to know please if a Laverda 3C was imported in March 1975 and registered by Slater Brothers as blue with no other information..what sort of blue is this likely to have been for that year...a deep navy blue or a lighter silver blue.

Thanks Paul. Just says blue so I think most were the light metallic blue grey??
If so need a UK sprayer who can replicate it. Perhaps other forum members may have has this colour resprayed.

Not sure if it's this blue you are after though ...

Hello Mark,

no, as I'm from Germany I can't recommend a sprayer in your area. I decided eventually for a Mercedes colour (MB 906 blue grey metallic) which is a tad darker then the original one shown in the brochure above.

I had my 1974 3c repainted in 2023 in a similar colour by Motopaint in Cradley Heath, excellent job and they were familiar with original Laverda colours, however there web site no longer seems to be working.

I had mine done in a Volkswagen “ Helle Blau” that was a near match from underneath the side panel ( underside won’t have faded) Lemon-Jelly Shaun has paint code from his drummer I believe, he may be along in a minute…

I bought a brand new 3C off Slater Bros in April 1975 reg HVJ 777N the colour was a deep royal blue. This maybe of some assistance.
