1979 Jota Replica Ebay

Or this one on eBay looks to be a clean example. I believe this one came through the late Lance Weil's shop; a few telltale signs of Lance's work. The engine number is only 6 off the 'Jota Replica' also on eBay. The Jarama has been listed on and off eBay for many months, Laverda becoming (always was) a hard sell.

Could you elaborate on the signs of Lance’s work?

🤔 Santa must have a phonics comprehension issue…. Eg: Most people put the letters c a t together and read the complete word as …. cat.

The painted rear mudguard and Lance used the front mudguard as on this Jarama on several of his project bikes. I'm pretty sure I have a picture of this bike in Rickey Racers' Costa Mesa shop; I'll see if I can find it.
There was a former Forum member, Sheldon, who owned a Jarama almost identical to this one; the difference was that Sheldon's bike had a black suede seat cover; it, too, was Lance's work.
Many years ago, the Imperial Palace Casino in 'Lost Wages', aka Las Vegas, had a Classic Car exhibit that also included motorcycles. There was a Jarama identical to the one on eBay on display in the Imperial; the build was attributed to Lance. I have a picture of this bike too, somewhere in a box, pre-digital years... Kodachrome. I'll have a look for it.

Dave: Is it the orange Jota on page 88 of "Italian Motorcycles" by Tim Parker ? Caption claims the pic was taken in Garden Grove. Thought
it may provoke controversy !
