1981 Laverda Jota 1000 Clutch line replacement/rebuild in a hurry?

Hello!

I just finished up a job for my neighbor and realized that his clutch line is leaking. What is the size of that line? Hopefully it's something I can grab or build at an auto parts store or next day amazon prime. To make matters worse, the bleeder valve has been cemented shut with something. I'm not sure what to recommend there. Is there some kind of solution where I could put a bleeder valve in line at the connection?

I had something like this before on a Honda, where a brake bleeder valve was broken and I was able to refill and get pressure by leaving it compressed with the master cylinder open for a day.

You can crack the hose connections to bleed the system. Bit of a bodge though, and may not get all the air out. Try a bit of gentle heat on the bleed valve. Use a heat gun rather than a flame. If some twat has put Loctite on it, heat will break it free.

You can also reverse bleed it - remove the slave piston and replace the Viton O-ring, fill the cylinder with fluid, open the master cylinder (and cover it loosely to prevent the fluid fountain...), then carefully push the piston in and hence push the fluid up to the MC.
Refit the clutch cover, turn the 'bars fully to the right to get the MC as high as possible, then gently pump the clutch lever to get rid of the remaining air bubbles, et voilà!
Works for me every time.
