1982 Jota primary disassembly

Hello folks, I'm in the process of taking apart the primary drive of my 1982 Jota to get at the clutch plates, which I believe are stuck fast together. I've discussed this with Paul but seem to have reached a roadblock. Perhaps some of you have some ideas as to how to proceed. I've removed the ignition and pulled off the primary cover after loosening the chain tensioner. I next removed the chain tensioner. Next off came the clutch "hub" snap ring and shim. Then I removed the 8 six mm hex bolts and that round plate (fastened by them) and wiggled off the clutch sprocket and primary chain. Next, I tried to slide off the clutch drum but no dice. It just seem locked/stuck on??? I tried the heat gun and tapping with a plastic hammer to no avail. The Jota has sat for about 15 years. I recently converted from hydraulic to cable operated clutch and in squeezing the clutch lever, it felt right but the clutch would no disengage. That's why I believe that the plates are stuck together. Right now I've slackened the cable while I try to get everything apart. I've though of fabricating a puller that would attach to the 8 threaded holes in the 'posts"(sticking out of the drum) that have the cush rubbers on them with a large center bolt which would tighten/push onto the mainshaft to pull the drum outward. Any ideas would be appreciated. Bob Andren

I've done this just with a piece of flat steel with 2 holes drilled at the centres of the M6 holes in the outer hub. Steel bar over the end of the shaft and a pair of long M6 screws into opposing holes tightened a little each side. The ones I've encountered were not particularly tight, but enough that you couldn't get it off easily by hand. Bit of a feel thing, I imagine if it was not coming with subtle force on the M6's that you might then resort to a more elaborate puller as you've described.

Bob-Hope all is well (besides the clutch).
For consistent reference:
#14 clutch drum should wiggle off if all necessary bits removed, probably varnished on from disuse. Carb clean then WD40 shaft & tapping to get it moving. Worst case use a puller.
