Hello:
Rafaele Penta (in the red and black leathers in the top photo) races an 860cc Laverda based on a 750SFC, prepared by Augusto Brettoni. On this bike, he has won the Italian Vintage Maxi championship for Period 4 bikes, perhaps more than once. The bike was on show in Piazza Mazzini in Breganze during last year's 70th Laverda Rally with both he and Augusto present. He also turned up to the track day at Adria Raceway on a Formula 500 twin race bike. Rafaele is on Facebook, and there are heaps of photos of this and his other bikes. I've also included a photo of Rafaele, Augusto and one other celebrating his Italian Championship win in 2019. Augusto has prepared a number of these SFC twin-based race bikes for riders in Europe (and I believe one in the USA), using many engine parts he has designed and had manufactured himself.

The 'one other' is Paolo Ferrati.
At Spa several years ago, Augusto asked me if it was ok if his friends would park their Laverdas in our pitbox for the night. From that moment on, the Brettoni gang became part of our orange F1 pitbox, adding a whole lot of Italian emotion and wine to it. Always good fun!
