Here is our plan how we would like to handle the Laverda forum calendar 2022, based on our experiences and lessons learned from this year’s example. We think that with the approach detailed below we will be able to deliver a high-quality compilation which eventually will reflect all models and regions of this forum.

  • Format (foldable DIN A3), materials and workmanship remain unchanged

  • The calendar portion in the lower half will be scaled down, to make room for 2 smaller supplementary pics; the calendar part is correspondingly lower; the refined calendar design will look as shown in the example calendar sheets below (pre-view only - EDITED Oct 28 with two "real" candidates):
51634000492_894bb0d998_b.jpg

  • We'd like to extend the calendar by another two monthly pages (Jan & Feb 2023 - provided this could be done at reasonable cost); this'd offer some security in case of shipping delays, and we could show more Laverdas & tales

  • Because of the A3 format a min. resolution of 3600x2400 would be req’d for the main monthly images to achieve quality results. Further, we decided to accept landscape orientated pics only.

  • Pictures from the “Out and About on your Laverda. No bull, Just photos” and “LaverdaForum.com Calendar 2022” post from this year will be regarded in the poll. Forum members who posted multiple pictures of the same bike should contact us to announce, which pic of those they would like to forward into the polling.

  • Polling: Should include a wider range, not just 8 Triples and 4 (Breganze) Twins as in 2021; at least one Breganze 500/600, one Zane and one of the smaller old Laverdas should be considered; also, tales from sheds & shops are much welcomed

  • Laverda Model Range Categories:
    - Triples
    - Breganze 750s
    - Breganze 500/600 incl. Atlas
    - Zane Laverda
    - pre 1967 Laverdas

  • To get a representative poll on the entire Laverda model range, it is important that each voter distributes his five votes over 3 out of 5 LAVERDA model range categories at any rate (we would very much appreciate, if not all five votes were used for the respective favorite Laverda, but if other models would also be considered accordingly). However, of course everyone is free to choose.

  • At current we plan to incorporate 15 main pages (twelve plus two additional monthly calendar sheets, plus title) - which we will spread as follows:
    7 Triples
    5 Breganze 750s
    1 Breganze 500/600 incl. Atlas
    1 Zane Laverda
    1 pre 1967 Laverdas

  • We urgently need pics of Breganze 500/600 incl. Atlas – so pls. post some up!

  • As soon as the polling result has been determined, we would need two additional “mood pictures” from each of the “winners”. These could be detailed images or images that were taken while out and about. Those would come as a complement to the main picture on the lower page above the calendar part (see example calendar sheets above).

  • Polling is planned with a separate post to start end of this months.
Cheers,
Thomas and Jo

 Must be about that time of the year the 2022 one needs starting isn't it Jo?

The picture of Chris (I think) with his beer and his bike in bits was one of my favourites this year, what category would that fall into...mood possibly?
Agree Pat, it's one of my favs as well! It would fall into the triples category.
On the other side, all categories, are open for "tales from the workshop" - love them ...
:D

... here are some pix for the Breganze 500 categorie - Kurt, our youngster in action on the race track!
Ciao. Gert

… oh, sorry Thomas!
Ciao, Gert
The hint was not meant to be offensive. Otherwise it will be too time-consuming for Jo and me to collect the pictures manually from different threads.

Your pictures are great! If they are from the sports photographer who is usually present at the races, we will get the images in perfect resolution.

Only answered half of your question:
In case it would be selected for the smaller lower pictures it would count as a mood picture - those wouldn't count for any category.

I wouldn't mind a small pic of Chris's avatar, also PiranhaBro, Marnix, etc. Maybe one high-value member per month as one of the smaller images?

A pic of Chris's bike would rank pretty high with me, too (as one of the full-size pics) although I know most prefer original bikes...I may be in the minority here. If so, so be it.

All else sounds great to me. My one real request is to get them distributed early, so we in the Colonies receive them before May. :)
If there are a number of US recipients (I am assuming between 3-10 total), I would be willing to receive and forward at my/USPS cost (should be easily under $10/per). Let me know if this helps.

Please Note: We are about to prepare the poll for the next years calendar main pictures (the upper big A3 format ones).

Pictures from the “Out and About on your Laverda. No bull, Just photos” and “LaverdaForum.com Calendar 2022” post from this year will be regarded in the poll. Forum members who posted multiple pictures of the same bike should contact us to announce, which pic of those they would like to forward into the polling.

So would everybody please announce his favourite landscape orientated picture which he would like to find in the polling via PM to me. Only one picture of the same bike can be accepted.

If we don't get appropriate feedback we'll select pictures ourselves.

Cheers,
Jo
