What a weekend at the Bishopscourt race track, Downpatrick, Northern Ireland for the GO Classic Bike Festival ...
.. and what a great 2024 parade and racing season for my old SFC till now ..
After a few warm-ups at the Varano de Melegari circuit, Italy, for the ASI Moto Show, and the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Moto Laverda and then at the Charade circuit, France (formerly Circuit automobile de montagne d'Auvergne) I was in the thick of things at a round of the "Classic Pre '73" Ulster Championship at the Bishopscourt Circuit on the Atlantic Ocean coast, close to Downpatrick, Northern Ireland.
Unfortunately my belly pan was not to the liking of the British technical controllers .. and rightly so.
Never mind I was able to take part at the six "Senior Race Bike Parades".
A group made up of past and present glories of the IoM TT, Manx GP and Ulster GP .. pure happiness for once in a lifetime !
A magnificent paddock full of British and Irish enthusiasts, fantastic riders and mechanics, a fast and technical track, wonderful organisation and staff, under a great sun on Saturday and a typically Irish weather on Sunday, where rain, wind, showers and clearings follow one another.
Lots of laughter and fun with British friends .. an unforgettable weekend .. can't wait for next year !
Next and last stop for this 2024 season will be in October at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, Italy (formerly Circuito Internazionale Santamonica) for the last "Vintage Max" round of the Italian CIV Classic Championship.
