So....... I've put new seals in the front forks and begun to re-assemble them the same way that they were dismantled.
The only remaining part is an ali' spacer: 29mm ID x 34mm OD x 6mm.
The location of the spacer on dis-assembly was positioned inside the bottom of the fork tube and in front of the circlip at the bottom of the fork tube, ie, I had to remove this spacer to get access to the circlip. Is this the correct position?
I don't think it is because there is nothing to stop the spacer from falling out of the slider tube and lying in the bottom of the fork leg.
Is the correct position for this spacer to be sandwiched between the two steel spacers on the damper tube that each have a ring of smaller holes drilled into them. I know the forks have been apart before......
Sorry, I don't have a camera at the moment to post some photo's.......I've looked at the schematic pictures on Laverda-paradise but its not clear!
