3C back from the dead

Well it's only taken 11 years to finally get this bike sorted (fingers crossed). I bought a Redax alternator and Sachse ignition for it all those years ago and it's actually the first time it has been used in anger. It's probably an antique item by now. I was supposed to go to Breganze on it in 2019 but the problems were so many and varied that I had to give that idea up. Anyway in the end Ged at GCS managed to pull it all together for me and I picked it up last week. Grant Duguid did the wiring a few years ago. It needs a few cosmetic details sorting out but nothing that I would consider important. This bike has tried my patience I can tell you ha ha!
So it's a 1974 pre-oil cooler 3C with 38mm forks and 200mm headlamp and lets hope after all the work that's been done it bucks its bloody ideas up. I can't help loving it though, it's so pretty.

Are indicators obligatory in the UK for the MOT? though you don't need one now.
I leave them off my old Lavs, when I have them. You gain 200 revs at the end of the straight before baking for the primary school corner. And they're damn ugly.

In the UK I presume.
In France, it's earlier than that. Beginning of the 70s when they started mounting them.

MOT type test is once again looming here. The European commission has strongly recommended it but leaving it up to individual countries.

I wouldn't like to ride without indicators around here Paul, the traffic is far too dense and fast for that at times. I don't know what the silencers are, they are very well made and look like 3C silencers with 750 SF ends. They sound nice. I bought the bike from Boba so I'm assuming he got one of his Hungarian metal basher mates to make them. They are very good at that type of fabrication.

I believe that a lot of motorists don't give a damn about indicators, or me. The one who's going to kill you isn't looking anyway.
So when I have one a bit to close, if intending to turn, I stick my arm out and wave it about, or leg if coming off a roundabout.

I appreciate the Falcone because it has a non return throttle which allows you not only to rest right wrist and arm but stick them out if intending to turn.
