3C Carb to airbox rubber boot too short on right side only - seeking info/solution

On my 3C with a 2nd-hand air filter housing - from a Jota I think, and rubber 'snorkels' (connections, per the parts list), the shorter middle and left ones fit nicely, with the moulding 'seam' centered at the top. The longer right side, however, won't reach the carb when set into the filter housing. The closest I can get it is pictured, and that is with the seam canted outward. The boots are all pliable and seem like new. Since two of them fit, I don't think that the right side shrank, as the dimensions of the two ends are the same on all. Has anyone had this issue and solved it? Maybe some difference in Jota vs 3C?

Iirc: The LHS & centre are the same. Appears you have 3 the same. RHS is longer and shaped to fit into the airbag from an angle inwards.
It's longer than the other two. I should have mentioned that. Here's a pic, lower one a bit longer but alas, not enough. Some differences in the details of the mould as well, so hmm. I'm not sure where my caliper is, will measure when it turns up tomorrow.

Take some measurements of your rubbers to compare yours to what others have. Copies might be wrong. From my recollection, the odd one felt more flexible than the other two. I have Miks, and don't have the Dels anymore. Is your Airbox in the right place, squarely mounted? There is a bracket that holds the airbox and bolts to the frame. I think one of my frame mounts had snapped off.

Your RH one looks like a slightly stretched version of the other two, whereas (as seen in Dave's pic), the RH one should be noticeably longer.
Let us know how your eBay purchase compares 🤔

Will update. Yeah, once I started looking at it closer, I saw it must've been stretched. It was a long hot day, and maybe the cold beer shorted some circuits upstairs.

Are you using the airbox or pod filters, Vince?
I'm using pods with my Mikunis. I never tried connecting them up to the airbox because my old rubbers were fucked and I didn't think it was worth buying new ones because they probably wouldn't have fitted the Mikunis anyway.
The pods seem to work OK in that the bike runs well, but I dunno how good they are at filtering out dust. They also rub on the plastic side covers, which wears holes in them, so I've had to replace them once already and I'd prefer that it not become a regular maintenance item.
I've come to the conclusion that the pods may not be an ideal solution, but I'm not sure the airbox would be any better.

I am running pods, the ones Red recommends. I was very keen to run an Airbox, but apparently they dont fit. Some measuring had me thinking you need to cut the box down to the point where there isn't much left. I have no complaints about how the bike runs, never got to the point of a Dino test and always regretted that. Maybe one day to confirm jetting as I have a very non-typical engine and exhaust. I have only ever cleaned and re-oiled the air filters once since fitting; there was minimal dirt that came out. The cleaning and oiling kits are pretty expensive, but water-soluble filter oil is important to actually get proper dust stopping.
