I had to take the clip on the bottom of the headlight rim off on my 3C to chrome the rim.
I don't know how to get it back on!
This is what I've done but it's all wrong.

Hey Paul I think the clip sits in the chrome bezel not outside like in your picture.
When you push the bezel home that clip sits over the lip on the bucket shell then pulls the bezel onto the bucket.
 
It can take the slap of the ball of your hand on the metal rim, some pressure. Aim well, get it wrong and you can do damage. It will produce a solid CLICK when engaged.

I've had this drama myself recently (on a Dramah too!) only to have it pop open and spill it's guts onto the mudguard a short time later: luckily I hadn't gone anywhere...
 
Clip is correctly fitted, thanks Maurice for confirming, but there's too much stuff in the headlight for it to close.
I'd fitted square plugs to replace the flat connector blocks. They take up too much room so flat connectors back in tomorrow.

Also devising a pedal stop for the rear set rear brake pedal than I'll have to sort a brake switch for that.

All that takes more time than putting an engine in a frame.

I'm pre Marzocchi as well. I will enjoy it. A Redax ignition/alternator kit and a Keith Nairn engine. Must be good.
