Looks like half decent fixer-upper project. OK, there's a few things that look a bit dodgy but it's probably a reasonable buy at $10k. I reckon the bidding will go higher though.

Yep, seen worse for more.
Looks like the fork legs have been swapped over so that the brake calipers are behind instead of in front. You'd think this a straightforward process but a few things need a bit of thought. Here the brake line routing appears dangerous to me and could be fixed easily. The braided lines are going to start wearing various parts they rub against. Rivet counters will be apoplectic at the mudguard's reversal. Speedo cable looks iffy also. My experience was that an extra washer was required between the speedo drive housing and RHS fork leg to fill a gap that magically appeared. No idea if that issue has been addressed here (or even if it is a normal result).Interesting front left brake line. Stretched pretty tight. Interesting shitshow of a bike.

It appears to have been thrown together for the sale, with some polish and paint. The brake hose is beyond a joke. Can't believe anyone could ride it with those brake and clutch lever angles and the hip view mirror.

A much nicer one than that thing sold for £ 5000 in the UK a couple of weeks back.
Imagine what's likely to be happening in the engine of that one £££££££££
Here's mine, bought for €3000. Cost me €15 000 by the time it was finished.

I have one of those...paid 4k which ended up as 8 by the time it got to Cayman..turned out to be a bit of a basket case right down to a rotten out gas tank...money pit? nah ..national debt more like..still ..I do own a Laverda .

Sounds like the seller misrepresented the bike, I have rescued 3 Lavs in the last 10 yrs, a 3C that looked a lot like Paul Marx's, a 3CL and a SF1, they sat for over 30 yrs but were in a great environment, pleased to say they are all still running great with a minimum of trouble, the 3C is in Australia now, they other two are still here in the states. All of them were under $10K
