Morning everyone, does anyone know where I can get a Right hand side panel or moulding for my 3c . It made a bid for freedom last night when I was checking the top side of the rev counter .

The same happened to mine about 5 years ago, I almost cried. I watched the arsehole car driver run it over before I could get to it. I got a carbon figure one off Red, I very much doubt he has any others. Try the usual suspects.

If you've got all the bits, it could be plastic welded.
I tore the corner off, in a panic, trying to disconnect the battery when a starter relay stuck shut.
Pics show damage and finished article.

When I took over my 3c, the rubber mounts of the side covers were hard and the knobs of the covers had a loose fit and were no longer held securely enough. I then exchanged them for new ones which still have a tight and reliable fix.
Additionally, I secured the covers with a small rubber expander (thanks Hamish). It's well known that the devil is a squirrel ...

Following cars seem to aim for a dropped side panel. :sick:I ran back down the road to get mine, then had to stand at the side of the road and watch 2 cars run over it, before I could get to it. 4 tyre passes flattened it nicely.

Inspired by Kevs3c's unfortunate mishap, I thought I should share this.
I had the side panel problem, back in the '70s, here is the solution I came up with:
Drill a small hole in the top front corner of the side panel, where it sits under the petrol tank, attach both together. I use 4mm strimmer cord.
Keep it reasonably loose. If a panel pops, you'll feel it against your leg but it won't fly off.
The additional benefit is that you can remove the panel, for access, without having to put it down on the ground, where it can be stepped on, DAHIKT?
Invisible in everyday use.
