3CL bent frame?

My dodgy subjective definition of "Way too soft".

My 999 is set up pretty well for the road. I can ride it on a rough road and feel as if slow and fast compression gives a relatively smooth ride. Managed the Tabulam to Urbenville road I think better than Craig on his Bandit, actually enjoyed it.

But, I can hit the same bumps near home on the 999, and then the 3CL, and the 3CL doesn't transfer hardly any shocks up to the bars. Fast compression seems much more enjoyable. Much smoother than the 999.

Currently cable ties are at 92mm from dust caps with forks extended, oil is a 50/50 mix of Fuchs 5W & 10W. Yellow emulators, fitted Oct 2016 (not sure what series), springs OEM(?) 460mm long, 4mm thick, 23mm diameter progressive loaded with 20mm of shims. The springs that were in it when I bought it were 500*5.2*31 non progressive (ex track bike). Front sag, (front wheel off ground to bike weight only, 16mm.)

I'm going to redo all my front and rear sag figures  (L1, L2, L3 as per Racetech Manual)

Seems better with 36/40 psi, but will try Bretts 38/42

Thanks, Greg (81kg plus 10 for leathers?)
