Paul, it is such a minute discrepancy from using the stop screws wound out method, that any difference at wider throttle openings is negligible. It basically accounts for different vacuum levels in each cylinder. Twins are very forgiving with it all anyway. My 270 motor idles so differently that it's hard to get an even 'beat' from each cylinder - I'm pretty sure it's because the gaps between firing are very noticeable at idle revs, with one piston travelling a bit slower after the longer gap (450 deg vs 270 deg). Maybe that missing 'beat' in triples has a similar effect?
