3CL tail light bracket questions

I have to drill a new top hole in my tail light bracket.  It was welded up due to the hole having been enlarged (off-center) by the DPO.

1.  At what distance (from the rear of the bracket) is the 6mm hole at the top of the tail light bracket?

2.  How thick is the rubber spacer between the tail light bracket and the inner tailpiece?

Thanks in advance.
Chris

1. Try loosely fitting the tail lamp bracket and inner tailpiece and see where the hole in the inner tailpiece matches up to your bracket and that's where the hole needs to be.

2. I use a small rubber anti-vibration spacer as used to isolate the 3CL electrics tray (BTZ bikes) to space the tailpiece from the tail light bracket. They are double-ended M6 male threaded.
It gives a good stance to the tailpiece, similar to original.

You should change your name to Ken Cunning. Brilliant idea.

The complication is that my old inner tailpiece was shattered at the top mounting point.  I have one of the new fibreglass ones.  It is undrilled, but appears to have small  circular indents where I suspect the holes should be.  I just wanted to confirm the tail light bracket's hole distance before I started drilling.

I like that idea.  Is that rubber mount the same as the ones for the oil cooler bracketry?  There is a thinner version that Wolfgang sells - is that it?  I think it is @ 10mm thick.

No, oil cooler ones are thicker.
Use the type that mounts the electrics bracket next to the battery.

If you have to make a hole in the inner as well as the tail light bracket just go for it and make your own one. Tends to ne towards the back (upright section) of the tailpiece inner.
