My wife's 500 occasionally cuts out when closing the throttle. I strongly suspect a carb problem. I believe that there's a problem on the idle circuit of the left hand carb that doesn't respond to the mixture or idle screws. I've had quite enough of taking it to bits and putting it through the ultra sonic bath, so I bought another carb. I made a mistake and bought a 32mm PHB rather than a PHF; PHB being without accelerator pump, originally a two stroke carb like the 36mm PHBs fitted to most SFCs.
So, two questions.
1: will the 500 which is very sensitive to set up work without the pumps? Any body have any experience of that? My 600 TT2 runs two 36mm PHBs and runs fine but then, it's intended for wide open throttle mostly.
2: Is any body interested in a swap between a 32mm PHB and a PHF, left hand side?
32mm PHB was the carb fitted to the Chott.
