500 laverda PHF carburettor

Oh wise ones and you lot.
Just wondering if anyone knows which air mixture screw is correct on the carbs for a 500 Alpino engine, they come in short tip (2.5mm) and long tip (5mm).
Also what effect, the difference would have?

Short tip is correct, used on all Laverda PHB/PHF carbs. Completely different setting would be needed for the long tip type, you'd have to work this out for yourself.
