50ish years of Laverda racing in British Isles & VMCC FOTB

2022 marks 50 years of racing at the IOM and probably 50 years of racing at a national level or above in the UK. To celebrate this I am helping organise a couple of events. The first of these is at the Festival of a Thousand Bikes atMallory Park July 16/17. The VMCC have offered to run a Laverda road bike session on the Saturday that will have a noise limit of 115db so Jota, Monty and SFC owners have the opportunity to take to the track and not have to worry about failing the otherwise 105db for other road bikes on Saturday. Sunday is for race bikes only and will have no limit for pre 75 bikes and 115db for other Breganze bikes. Zane built race bikes are limited to 105db.
If you plan to attend and want to take to the circuit I suggest you make an entry sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.

Another reason to get your entries in quick, as it’s looking like you could be sharing the tarmac with the guys and bikes from Laverda Corse...😀

The VMCC have offered a one off price for the session, which if it goes ahead the FOTB entry form will still be required but payment will be made to a yet to be decided third party. It is an item for discussion at the ILOC a committee meeting on Sunday, so a further announcement will be made after that.
 
Still not got an official confirmation yet but hopefully won’t be more than a few more days.
However, it is looking positive for the Laverda only session and there is a growing possibility of an evening event with Laverda Corse, details to be released ASAP.
