hi, how can you tell the difference or what are the dimensions of the thick web jota mag compared to a standard SF or 3CL mag?

The size and tyre fitting relevant dimensions are the same.
While the thin-web wheel contour loosely resembles a steel or flangeless alloy spoked rim, the thick-web has a stiffening rib running along the inner edge of the rim.
Quite obvious once you've been able to compare.
