72 SF in Canada

Looks like a great bike. If that's the highest bid then the market is basically dead!!
A couple of things going against it- first the general condition of it (funky centerstand, damaged tank, old tires, broken cables, questionable cold start) and mainly since Iconic caters to US-based sport bike owners. It will most likely reappear on their "Buy It Now" section for $6500, along w/ the other Laverdas that haven't sold on there.

The only bike out of all of them that I'd own or have ANY interest in is the Vincent. The rest of it is designer shite. Just my worthless and very humble opinion ...

Probably 1 of 200 shipped to Canada in the early 70's dissemble in a crate to specific EU Dealers to avoid import duty's - To be assembled by prospective Dealers - My 70 750 SF0 was one - There are more Laverda Triples in Canada then Twins - A steal for $11,000 CDN$ at today prices with a strong engine.

They were mostly registered as 73's when they became available and had the 13 fin SFC Head with 9.5 compression ratio and open mouth Velocity Cone Dellorto VHB 32's- Fantastic engine which easily rev'd the red line to 7400+ rpm with Laverda's shorter duration street cam Vs the longer duration SFC cam for the track.

The Egli Vincent looks quite nice, but I’d be more interested in the Daytona winning Triumph if I was living on that side of the pond.

PS: Italian Bikes did rain supreme through the 70's esp their 3 Cly Laverda's but with the advent of the cheap Honda CB750 the writing on the wall and by 1984 there was not ONE EU Motorcycle dealership left in Canada.
