75 SF Shocks

I am looking to replace the shocks on my 75 750 SF.
They measure 13.5 inches center eye to center eye.
Anyone have recommendations on length and make?

I am considering Works as the look retro and work great as I have a set on another bike.
Thanks, Myke

PO fitted Works dual-rate shocks to the RGS I now own. They are barely used although they are several years old. They seem to have lost all damping. Don't know if I could recommend them knowing that they were rather expensive.

Your length sounds pretty right for original. Both my SF2s I have over 14" to sharpen the steering.
Never heard of these Works units you mention. People on this forum are happy with many makes, there is plenty to choose from so I?d stay clear of anything not recommended. It really is bullshit to suffer crap suspension. I have Maxton which are brilliant.

actually the works shocks are very popular in the states - i have them on my RGS & my 1200 (and my Norton) and find them to be very good shocks for the $. The works people are easy to work with (they're in calif) and they'll rebuild their shocks for not a lot a lot of cash should they need rebuilding (I've had mine on my bikes for about 5 years and they're still fine).

Mike, if you have experience with these Works shocks, go for it, especially if they are local for you.
The length of original shocks I have under the bench is just under 13 3/4. I use a bit longer as personal preference.
