750 best clutch cable route?

I’m fitting taller bars to the SF1, similar to GT bars, but not quite as tall as GTL bars. I have the longer GTL cable and am looking for best route. In particular, the section where it comes around the headstock and turns to go under the tank. Is it best under the front tank support, or over it?

Thanks
Sean

Depending on which horn bracket you’re using, you may find an eyelet through which the clutch cable can be run. This keeps the cable out of harms way and prevents it snagging when the bars are turned.

Thanks Piet, the SF1 here doesn’t have that bracket but the GTL does. I’ll put a tie wrap on SF1 in same location. The clutch cable was going between the carbs then outside the top engine frame mounts. That bracket shows that a better route looks to be between carbs but then staying inside frame engine mounts and on right side of breather. We’ll see.

Thanks Guys, I’ve rerouted to around left hand carb. Doesn’t look the obvious route but I’ve yet to fit the high bars so cable a bit long.
