750 Engine Stand

All these 3C, Jota and Mirage Triple guys are steering you wrong - You don't need an engine stand for the 750 as the frame does just fine:

Personally, I prefer working indoors with my workpiece at a decent height, without the need for bending my back unduely or ruining my  knees.  My engine stand accepts twins and triples.

Scrabbling around on the floor/driveway/gutter might be quite acceptable in Calcutta.... :D

What can you actually do with the engine while its pivoted off the 2 lower mounts??. If you've gone that far wouldn't it be easier to just remove the 2 lower bolts and put the motor on a bench for easier access!! Once on the bench, an engine stand can be handy, which is what the thread is about.

Not every Motorcyclists has the luxury of an indoor shop. I've torn the 750 mill down numerous times during winter months on a table in a 2nd story apartment to get into the transmission, changing all the gaskets or for a good cleaning but it's less hassle to service the top end with the mill mounted in the frame during summer months then carrying it 2 flights to my apartment.

Not saying I've never dissembled the whole bike and brought it upstairs then wheeled her down 2 flights in the spring - LOL

It has been pointed out to me by several, (see reply #1) that my display engine stand, currently in Slaters showroom is for sale at ?600,is no9t just for the tubular stand, but, this includes the three engines, the first is an empty 750, with early head, no internals whatsoever, the second is a 60cc scooter engine, same spec, the third is a 50cc scooter engine, complete with carb, but seized.
