750 f crank oil plates which way round

I have just brought a 750 f project lav.750f.6913, its a box of bits and I'm stuck trying to fit the two metal plates under the crankshaft, not sure which way round they go, any ideas. Does the curved section point downwards or upwards and is it at gearbox or exhaust side of crankshaft well.thks andy.

There are two of those plates, one either side of the cam chain tunnel. Curved part points upwards towards the front.

Brilliant thanks I wasn't sure as the parts manual shows them pointing downwards.!

Factory parts books all show them with the front pointing upwards.
