I’ve been after a luggage rack for a while. The one that is hinged and folds with two ‘wood effect’ strips. Any condition as I’ll restore it if needed.

For a 1969 750 GT wide frame if it makes any difference to the rear frame loop that it attaches to.

Please have a dig around in your spare parts bin. Thank you, thank you.

The one I have fitted to my 1968 American Eagle was originally for a later narrow frame 750, SF, SF1?

With the help of Rob Lawton, aka Jota Rob, adapted it to fit. This was actually quite straightforward. The arm coming forward towards the shock mount was cut. Rob machined a tube of the length needed to extend to the shock mounter the required amount to fit. He also machined a slug to go inside the tubes for strength and the welded up and dressed back down. It was then re-chromed.

In reality wide frame racks are very, very hard to come by. I spent years hunting to no avail.

Widen your search; S, SF, SF1 and narrow frame GT racks can be modified to suit...

Thanks James. I actually have an SF rack just nobody to do the machining/fettling.

I’ve looked around for people locally but couldn’t find any fabricators or similar up for it.
Rob lives in Newbury, I'm sure he would help you out..?

I am in south Oxfordshire, you are welcome to come over, with your SF1 rack and we can measure up against my modified item.

I have a genuine Laverda rear rack but I am unsure which one of the two Laverda part numbers this one is. The paper tag
with pencil notations is long unreadable. This rack is NEW,never fitted. My price is 225 Pounds Sterling or Euro 250
plus at cost shipping from Canada. Please no hand wringing or predatory internet style auction pricing complaining. Show me
another brand new ex-dealer stock rack and verifiable pricing and maybe there is haggle room. Photos attached. Selling and
shipping is extremely problematic dealing with the USA so that is probably a non-starter. Thank Unka Donald.

Hi, I’ve just sent you a direct message about this. Asking for a measurement to check to see if it’s for the S/SF or GT. Thanks.

Thanks James! I sent you a direct message last year but I don't think you've seen it? I'll send you another one now and then maybe we can swap numbers and organise? Thanks. Joel
