750 oil filter

YES - Just take out the filter once a year and wash it in Varsol. Check for Plastic or Teflon Chips from your Cam and Main Chain  Tension-ers so as the plastic debris from mal-adjusted tensioners do not plug the oil system.

Other than that use straight DINO Diesel OIL 15W40 - Delvac, Shell, AC Delco, Duron - Whatever!

If you use your 750SF a lot suggest you clean the filter and change oil twice a season clean and maintain the drive chain regularly and flush with diesel fuel and replace fork oil every 2 seasons.

My 70 750 SF0 never had Air Filters and maintained original bore diameter for some 40 years.

And Canada's air must be a lot cleaner than the bulldust-laden roads of northern Australia where I destroyed my bores by riding without air filtration!!

Whos talking what  oil-filter and air filters dont get em mixed up will ya 😂😂😂😂😂

Did anybody figure it out some decent soution for 750 oil filter instead of OEM mesh filter?
I fitted an oil cooler to my SF decades ago but removed it as I had to keep it taped over as the bike ran too cold, needed choke to start even after riding, and blanked off the stubs I had into the cases. I have considered fitting an aftermarket filter system beside the generator, there are some neat enough solutions available but it is no pressing concern.

CLEM you live in a much dusty county then me - Not that I don't respect your input but respect mine input as well ;o)

I say, if you live in a clean environment like Northern Ontario or Norway you can get away with Open Carbs cleaning the oil filter and changing your oil twice a season without gulling the pistons.

Open mouth carbs ingesting a June Bug or a Beetle or 2 will not hurt nothing compared to a constant intake of sand which will and therefore require an Air Filter, muffle it, and require different main jets. Thus you are smothering the engine and will never get to full potential out of the engine.

Different environment !

OEM filter is good enough until something goes wrong. And when something goes wrong you have metal all over the engine :(
