Hi Guys
my Zane Twin has been stood in my garage for some considerable time!!
I have fitted new plugs, HT leads, air filter, new external fuel pipes, new battery, oil change .... & it is Still reluctant to start?
I'm wondering if there is a way of priming the fuel pipes?
I believe the spark etc is good - short squirt of easy start & it fires but won't keep running so I am guessing no fuel !! any sensible suggestions? I can hear a relay switch operating when I turn the ignition but no sound of a fuel pump priming ( I can't remember if I should hear this, been a while !!)
It has the standard side stand bypass switch already fitted.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Is the fuel pump working? You know the zanelist@groups.io site, people there may help with advises

You should hear the pump for 5 seconds when you put the ignition on.
After standing still for long time your inside tubes can get porous. In that case there is no pressure.
See mine on the photo.
But first get your pump working

Yes Zanelist.io group is a wealth of information and the Zanelist fb group - the fuel pump can suffer multiple issues if left - rotting pipes not delivering fuel is just one of them but when you turn the ignition on the fuel pump should prime within 3 seconds with a whirr - if not something is wrong

O ve located fuel pump & will extract it from the tank to see what is happening....checked relays & switched around & as far as I can tell all of them seem to click at least if popped into one position- they qre all Siemens R6J3 relays- anybody know if these are still available as a quick check online came up a big fat zero!!
Cheers

Someone on here recently had a similar issue after the bike had sat unused to far too long - correctly diagnosed (by me  ) as contamination from degraded internal fuel hose blocking the filter and pump. They managed to get everything out without removing the tank.
