750 SF cam chain clip replacement

I need a new clip for the cam chain master link on my 750 SF2- the chain is stamped "Regina Extra". I'm stateside and hoping a local bearing company can match it, so does anyone know the dimensions of it?

Teddy: Jes throwin' out a possible...Japanese camchains were sized as #219 so your local Honda
dealer etc should be able to get you a new master link/clip no problem. Can't remember if Regina
used same size ,maybe stamped on side plate. Oh....the local Honda partsman will invariably not
know things like what a CB350 or CB500 was from the seventies so handle those fragile youngsters
with compassion...

Had a young one at the battery shop today, my ute (F350 7.3lt) had two dead batteries

Rang before hand to make sure they were in stock, parked in the parking area, took out the dead batteries then went in to pay for the new ones.

Young bloke says, I’ll grab some tools and replace your old ones.

I said, they’re already out, get the new ones and I’ll whack them in.

His response: 😳 You old blokes don’t muck around do you?

Ever seen a CB Honda with a double row cam chain?
If your chain was as bloody tight as you say it cannot be so old as needing a new joining link or total replacement. I have no fear of re-using one as long as the clip sits nice and tight. There are very fine differences between the different chains, and a poor fit is to be avoided.
 
That was just a test for enthusiasts....I FAILED....you know "a big Superhawk". I'm guessing chain
information should be in "Machinery's Handbook" or similiar OR the time-tested effort of taking
the chain in person to a bearing/power transmission dealer and pleading ignorance not mentioning
the word Laverda or motorcycle-invent something.

Honda don’t use master link, just endless but do supply a cam chain breaking tool to push out a pin and replace after.

Simply begging for disaster...

Chain pins are rivetted/peened over at their ends, when pushed through the side plate they will compromise fit if re-used.

It is strongly recommended a new connecting link be used. I'm certain if Honda offered such a tool, they would have offered new links to suit.

Thats a soft link, no clip involved but must be peined over - pic is of genuine Honda tool for pushing out the pin, made by Kowa as most Honda tools were. I’m not making it up, I was Honda factory trained at Chiswick and worked in Honda 5 star dealership for 11 years going from apprentice to workshop manager. Never had a cam chain fail, fitted hundreds using this exact tool, How it’s ended up in my tool box is a mystery?

I've reused cam chain connecting links, including the spring clip. Not renowned for nursing my motors and have never had a failure. Of course, if newies are available, I fit them, but I don't ride in terror of a fail if they aren't. The Regina Extra spring clip from a triple cam chain is the same as that for the twin - I actually use a worn triple cam chain for my 750 starter.

Hyvo chains seem to wear more quickly , I’ve taken them apart to find the pins grooved to nearly halfway through, saying that never seen one snap. I fitted a supposedly HD chain to a despatch riders TDM850 and that wore out double quick, it was Hyvo but instead of evenly spaced plates they were in pairs with double size gaps. I used to get high mileage Kawasaki GT 550/750 in with cain stretched so far the horizontal cam marks were at 8 - 2 O ‘clock, dispatchers would put a longer bolt in adjuster to take up slack. Those motors with big valve clearances and retarded cam timing really went well actually.
