I’ll be bringing a disassembled SF1 project home in the next week or so. Does anyone have plans for a cradle or stand that I can build to hold the engine hile I work on it? Thanks.

Thanks. That seems simple enough. I haven’t had a 750 since 2000 and couldn’t remember what the bottom of the engine looks like.

If you put something together for it, set it so that the barrel/head face is horizontal. Much easier to work on. I do like PB2, wood blocks either side of the strainer plate.

two thicknesses of 18mm ply with a hole cut for the sump strainer to fit through works well. You can improve this item a lot by using a router to dig out a few holes for various stuff that sticks out, they are easy to mark, just by placing the engine on the wood and and the lifting the ply and engine about three inches and dropping it.
