750 SF starter motor issues

My 750 SF has decided to shear planetary gears. I have replaced the the broken one and it has happened again
Has anyone had a similar experience or know what might be causing this problems?
Any help would be appreciated.

Never heard of that.
Check your starter freewheel.
Is it disengaging?

If it is like a car dif they need to engage teeth in a particular way and depth. They shim them and check engagement with engineers blue on the teeth. That's all I got, no other clue from me.

as Paul faulty sprag clutch and possible difficult starting issues as well, to cpmpound the strain.

Have you dismantled and cleaned it thoroughly and checked that there isn't something getting in between the teeth? Is it from the same post that has the broken gear? Is the gear on the starter motor itself in good condition?
