I'll be auctioning my SFC locally next month. The auctioneer has asked for records of past SFC sales at auction.
I remember a few years back a 74 model, laid up for years complete with authentic rust was sold in the US for near $100 000. Does anybody have a link to that sale, I can't find it?
Thanks
Paul

Scroll down to "Top Sales" and you'll find all sold 750 SFC's on that platform. Not sure who paid 107.000USD nor if it's worth it, but I hope the best for your sales, Paul:

Many thanks Rob and Lothar for your link. I'll pass it on.
A local "old" bike club I belong to was approached by an insurance expert we know asking if anybody had a top end bike they'd like to enter in an auction.
I know the guy, since the road documents of my 3C are withdrawn following the fire and will be given back to me when an expert has testified that the machine is once more roadworthy. He's the expert in question.
He works with a local auction house and checks 2 to 300 cars a week for them. They want to get into the classic vehicle market and asked him to organise a sale for them.
He accepts my reserve price and it's 3% sellers fee, far from the 16 to 20% that's usual.
So, the SFC will be on auction next month, along with an Aston DB6, a Facel Vega and an MGA.
What appears to be an 11 000 series sold in Paris for €47 000 this winter.
On verra.
Paul

Hi Paul
Regarding the price of an SFC 750, I don't think prices will reach 100,000 Euros again, and think about how many will come up for sale, I'm currently helping a friend sell his RGS, but there are about 10-12 for sale, it hasn't gotten any easier with selling older motorcycles.

Paul is not asking for opinions about the value, simply a request for information regarding a past sale. If anyone knows the low value of old motorbikes it is Paul, he has made it quite clear that the value for most of us here is in the riding.

It looks like you've got plenty to explore already Paul. However, for what it's worth I came across this link - the SFC is the 7th one down the page with an estimate of $100,000

I think the arse has fallen out of the classic bike market.
30-50 for the Sports and 140-180 for the green frame
Few years back Sports well above 50 and Green frames were well over 200.
Judging from the previous post SFCs seem to be in the 40-50k US bracket.
Mines worth nothing as it's not for sale!!
